In March 2016 we took an organised tour to Indochina visiting Vietnam (the main part of the holiday) as well as Laos and Cambodia. Three very different countries.
For the Vietnam leg of our trip we flew into Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City - HCMC) in the South of the country, spending a few days getting acclimatised and exploring the city and its surroundings. We then flew to Danang in central Vietnam to spend a couple of days in each of the old cities of Hoi An and Hue. This part of Vietnam we enjoyed the most. Next we flew North to Hanoi & then immediately off to Halong Bay. Finally we returned to Hanoi for a couple of days sightseeing there before leaving Vietnam for Laos.
