I know it is a corny tourist thing to do, but we still enjoyed the late evening camel ride into the Thar Desert at Sam. Our guides managed to take us into a fairly isolated part of the desert.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was a short ride - about an hour - into the desert. These camels were quite comfortable.

After stopping, this musician came nearby & started playing these pipes. It was very charming. He didn't hassle us or intrude or ask for money - though obviously that's why he was doing it & yes we did tip him.
