We live in Ruislip, a suburb in North West London.

Ruislip is an old parish, documented in the Domesday Book of 1086. Within the nearby Manor Farm complex are the remains of a Norman motte & bailey castle, a superb 13th century "Great Barn" with the adjacent "Little Barn" now used as a library and a 16th century Manor House. Hillingdon Council have a brief description of the Manor Farm. Opposite is the 13th century St Martin's Church.

Nearby in Uxbridge is the Battle of Britain Bunker, key to winning the critical battle of WWII.
